Clara Giambino's debut album features verses from Lithuanian literary classics and naked personal experiences
The French Clara Giambino, who shone in the Lithuanian music scene two years ago, will present her debut album to music fans in May, in which, alongside Clara's highly personal original songs, the classics of Lithuanian literature will also be heard.
Clara's story in Lithuania began more than 5 years ago, when a talented dancer from France joined the Kaunas Dance Theater "AURA" team. During these years, the young artist with her charisma was able not only to conquer the hearts of theater fans, to create a successful business, but also to surprise the audience of our country with her musical abilities.
Two years ago, Clara presented her first musical single "Širdis", which featured the verses of the Lithuanian literary classic Vincas Mykolaitis-Putin. Later, the artist from Marseille participated in the popular television music project "X factor" with the project "Aquarium de Clara" and reached the final of the project.
This May, C. Giambino presents her two-year-old debut album to music fans, in which listeners will find not only the artist's popular hit "Širdis", but also Clara's other songs written in English and Lithuanian over the course of two years.
According to the artist herself, this album is a musical expression of her experiences and accompanying emotions in recent years.
"This album is a reflection of the history of my last years of life in Lithuania. Many different emotions can be found in this story: joy, growth, great love, sadness, hardships, and in general, everything that has accompanied me in these past years. With this album, I just wanted to give meaning and let go of this phase of life and the emotions that accompanied it. Therefore, the album is very open and personal", says the artist.
According to Clara, the title of the album "Aquarium" reveals the colorfulness and versatility of this debut musical collection.
"The title of the album is related to the element of water, which is very close to me. This album is like my personal ocean, into which you can see a lot of bright colors and light. However, it can also be dark, cloudy and wavy at times. This is also my debut album - multifaceted, like water or the human soul", - the album's author shared her thoughts.
Well-known Lithuanian music industry professionals also contributed to the recordings of Clara Giambinos' debut album. The recording and sound of the album was handled by producer Vitas Vaičiulis, who also works with such well-known music names in the country as "Daddy Was A Milkman", "Electronic I" or Lolita Zero.
Ilja Gun and Justas Katauskis, members of the Klaipėda electronic rock group "Royce" made a significant contribution to the arrangements of the album's tracks.
