The musical performance is an improvisation not only for children based on a poem by Salomeja Nėries
"Having frosted our winters,
White white, wherever you look,
A long fairy tale for little ones..."
Nėris's poem "Grandmother's Tale" reminds many of childhood and belief in simple miracles. The first children's performance of "Open Circle" was created precisely on the basis of this poem. The musical performance-improvisation is intended for both the youngest spectators and their parents. This is a performance in which the characters of well-known fairy tales come to life - Žąsinas Molliūgas, the third brother Jonas, Našlaitėlė, the snake's wife Eglė and many others, openly and playfully tell their most incredible stories and boldly invite the little ones to create a fairy tale together. A fairy tale where geese can fly and fish can talk. Where everyone can become whatever they want, and miracles happen when you least expect them...
Thanks to the imagination of the actors, children and their parents, the musical performance-improvisation not only for children "Grandmother's Tale" becomes a gateway to the mysterious and humorous world of a fairy tale. Infectious songs and the memorable melody of the play's director Aidas Giniotis, written for the poem "Grandmother's Tale", will certainly not allow anyone to sit idly by... This is a performance not only for watching, but for active participation... "Grandmother's Tale" invites everyone not to be afraid to create and play together.
in 2007 the creative group of the performance won the National Theater Award - "Golden Stage Cross" for the best performance of the year for children.
