On the initiative of the Kintau Music Festival, the most outstanding classical music representatives of different generations of the three Baltic countries are invited to reside and create together at the Kintau Artists' Residence. in 2023 in August, four performers and two composers are coming to Kintus for a new program and the production of new works, inspired by the Baltic Sea and its surrounding nature, as if symbolically giving meaning to the freedom and unified direction of the artists of the Baltic countries in this difficult period.
In the residency, two legendary personalities will meet - Estonian composer Peeters Vähi and Lithuanian percussionist Pavel Giunteris - together with four young leaders of their field today, Latvian percussionist Guntars Freiberg and Lithuanian cellist Gleb Pyšniak, violinist Dalia Dėdinskaite and composer Silvija Miliūnaite. Building a bridge of cooperation between different generations, cultures and countries, they all come together for a common goal - to jointly realize the creation and performance of two new works by P. Vähi and S. Miliūnaitė for an innovative quartet of percussion and two string instruments. And also - to create a program of composers from the Baltic countries, which will be presented in the Baltic countries and around the world.
