Opis wydarzenia
The performance "Big Bang" is a co-production of the Klaipėda Puppet Theater and "Itim Ensemble" (Israel). Lithuanian viewers have already had the opportunity to get acquainted with the works of Zvi Sahar: in 2019 at the "Materia Magica" International Puppet Theater Festival, the "PuppetCinema" troupe showed the play "Planeta Kiaušinis", which Zvi Sahar not only directed, but is also the performer of this play. The mission of the theater created by Zvi Sahar is the synergy of puppet theater and cinematography: during performances, miniature puppets are filmed, and the image is projected directly on the screen. In the Big Bang show, the world is created using various parts of electronic devices.
The performance "Big Bang" is a kind of prehistory of the performance "Planet Egg": the audience will be brought back to the beginning, when the Universe was created after the Big Bang. And in that Universe, many planets appeared - one of them is where the action of the play "The Big Bang" takes place. In this world of thriving societies, cities and cultures, we follow the life of a little robot and his dog until one day danger arises: it starts to rain.
How will this world of metal and various electrical devices react to water? Will water destroy it? What will happen to the robot and his dog in this climate change tragedy? At this particular moment, humanity needs to ask itself the question not only of how life originated, but also how it will end.
