It is an international physical, ritual theater and circus experiment, in which performing arts professionals from Brazil, Italy, and Lithuania explore the body as a universal weapon in the eternal struggle of humanity and in the context of historical wars. Why do we go to war, since time immemorial, and continue to do so, even though we all agree that war is an evil phenomenon? How do bodily instincts manifest themselves in combat? What fighting strategies are born from the union of body and mind? Why do children like to play war? When do games turn into fights? When does a fight turn into a war? When do we stop fighting?
In Lithuania, a theater laboratory begins in mid-July, where creators from different countries will live and work together for two weeks, using different physical practices, to create and discuss the above-mentioned topics. The discoveries born in the laboratory will be presented to you - in a wordless, intense stage action "Kovas anatomija/The anatomy of a fight".
In this experiment initiated by the Apeiron Theater, there will be no shortage of movement dynamics, dance, circus elements, archaic ritualism, the most unexpected interpretations of the perception of combat and war, as creators of different cultures and experiences will analyze this topic before the viewer's eyes.
After the event, we invite you to stay and chat directly with the organizers of the experiment, participants and other spectators.
