German pop superstar Dieter Bohlen - Blue System is coming back to Lithuania : he will perform at Vilnius Twinsbet Arena
German pop superstar Dieter Bohlen - Blue System will perform in Lithuania next year and will perform at Vilnius Twinsbet Arena for the first time. This will be the third visit of this legendary singer and music producer to our country.
Negotiations have been going on for years
It's official: the most desirable and nowadays European pop mega-star of the 1980s, D.Bohlen, has given up after several years of negotiations, based on the excellent feedback about the professional activities of "80's Legend Lithuania" and the audience that gathered here.
Born in Bern, a town in Lower Saxony, long rebellious, boarding school dropout, economics graduate with honours in Hamburg, former member of the Communist Party of Germany, multimillionaire D.Bohlen and his band have finally added the capital city of Lithuania Vilnius to their busy schedule : 21 March 2025.
Blue System/D.Bohlen will be supported by Lian Ross, who is currently living in Mallorca and is the lead singer of "Say You'll Never", "Fantasy", "It's Up To You" and other superhits.
200 million music discs sold
One could write novels about Dieter Bohlen, as it has happened, make films or tell stories without end.
One of Germany's most famous pop musicians, performers, songwriters and producers took CC Catch to new heights, founded the legendary bands Modern Talking and Blue System, and has sold more than 200 million music discs in his career!
D.Bohlen was a member of several bands during his school years, wrote more than 200 songs, and regularly sent recordings of his work to recording studios.
According to fortunate circumstances, from January 1979 he worked as a producer and composer for the music label Intersong. Soon the "golden" song "Hale, Hey Louise", written by Steve Benson, Dieter's first but not last alias, and performed by guitarist Ricky King, brought a five-figure sum.
Der Bohlen has subsequently worked with many musical groups: singing, playing guitar, arranging, composing, and songwriting.
At the Westfalenhalle Palace in Dortmund, Bohlen and the popular duo were presented with as many as 75 gold and platinum discs during the evening, which were brought to the stage by a special truck!
Modern Talking has sold 185 million CDs worldwide, including more than 26 million copies of the band's most successful album, Back For Good!
Everything he touches turns to gold
After his "divorce" from Thomas Anders, who succumbed to the persuasion of his wife Nora Bahling that he could do it all without D.Bohlen, Dieter created another powerful project - Blue System.
And while Thomas Anders was failing on his own, the Messiah, the Titan of Pop - a few more of Bohlen's nicknames - was instantly famous with the superhit "My Bed Is Too Big", his Blue System released 13 albums and dozens of hits, and in 1989, he received the title of Germany's most successful composer and producer.
Friends reconcile, Modern Talking has a successful revival, and Bohlen has collaborated with Al Martin, CC Catch, Chris Norman, Lory "Bonny" Bianco, Bad Boys Blue, Fancy, Desireless, Kim Wilde, and other renowned artists.
In 2002, he co-wrote the bestseller Nothing but the Truth (Nichts als die Wahrheit) with a German journalist. The book about the backstage adventures of the stage soon became a hit in Focus and Spiegel magazines, and at first many distanced themselves from the juicy and scandalous details, but soon remembered the words of the left-wing Dieter: "Everything I touch becomes gold". And indeed, long-forgotten characters became popular again and started to "make" money from it.
Twice officially divorced and with six children with three women, Bohlen, whose fortune is estimated at around €150 million, continues to perform with his band, bake successful projects, collaborate with television, become Germany's Man of the Year and is still a welcome figure in many corners of the world.
"Have a clear goal in front of your eyes! - Says D.Bohlen, who will shake the Twinsbet Arena on 21 March with the band with the most famous superhits of his career in the best concert of the spring. - That goal may seem utopian, even idiotic, unattainable, stupid, but if it is your goal, if you are convinced that you want to achieve it, you will succeed. And don't even start without this idea!"
Tickets for the concert will be available from 5 December - bilietai.lt
