In "Portraits" Aline Breucker and Quintijn Ketels portray two very different circus artists: Camille Paycha and Sander De Cuyper. The main idea is quite simple: the audience enters a studio where people are busy working and philosophizing. Meanwhile, the performers try to structure their thoughts and find a place for things. This show raises questions about the connections between movement and traces, between work and life. Existential questions like "Is this a portrait of a person, a practice or a relationship between two people ?” and “When you look at me, what are you looking at?” surface, using circus techniques, drawings and monotypes to create a portrait of an unexpected situation.
