"Good Morning Mr. Rabbit" is a critique of modern art and society conditioned by the market, it is an analysis of narcissistic fantasies, a story about intergalactic friendship, about Buddha and a butterfly, about a little bird that landed on your shoulder, about dogs, cats and dolphins... (Milan Marković Matthias)
It is a play about the schizophrenia of modern consumer society. A play about a young man disillusioned with the buy-or-die consumerist society in which he tries to survive. Consumer Society vs. Personality. Personality vs. Consumer Society. Masculinity vs. Femininity. Femininity vs. Masculinity. Freedom vs. Stigmatization. Stigmatization against Freedom. Madness before the Cure. A Cure Against Madness. Madness vs. Weirdness… A vicious circle… At first glance, it seems impossible to escape this labyrinth. But only at first glance. Delving deeper into this story reveals one thing: it is a drama whose core conflict is as old as the world. It is a conflict between responsibility and freedom. In theatrical terms, between love and duty. This drama is about trying to adapt to the rules of the world around us. This drama is like a textbook that describes the rules of the game when the game turns into life. In real life.
The author of the play is Milan Marković, a young and already internationally recognized Serbian playwright, writer and performer, born in 1978. Belgrade, living in Malmö, Sweden.
