The Lithuanian percussion landscape is unimaginable without Arkadius Gotesmans - one of the most creative and productive representatives of the jazz scene. Actually, not just jazz. Arkady's drive often takes him to the theater, poetry or cinema spaces. The creator bubbling with new ideas presents his latest project - "Music for non-existent ballet". The solo chamber performance is a reflection of A. Gotesman's creative path, in which the composer A. Šenderovas, poet R. Rastauskas, the poet R. Rastauskas, who had a close relationship with the ballet scene, left extremely vivid imprints. O. Koršunovas, E. Nekrošius, A. Večerskis, D. Michelevičute, L. Liandzbergis, etc. But in "Music for a non-existent ballet" A. Gotesmans transfers not only reminiscences about these friends, but also subtly reveals his love for percussion poetry, and most importantly - love for Vilnius, the city that became the home of this percussion ace and the place where many of his and his friends' most memorable works were born.
"Music for a non-existent ballet", containing A. Gotesman's personal experiences, is not a one-dimensional work. The drumsticks and brushes in the hands of the percussionist resemble the graceful movements of ballet dancers and ballerinas. In the non-existent ballet, the dance floor of sticks and brushes becomes not the stage, but the surfaces of the percussion instruments, whose choreography of emitted sounds ignites the listener's imagination. A. Gotesman, instead of trying to give the listener a clear narrative, in his latest project invites you to soar on the wings of your freed fantasy and create your own personal ballet.
