In the play "Hamletmachine" by H. Müller, youth opposes and wars with the past in order to change and create their future. In order to break free from the never-ending cycle of history of violence, the past is questioned and deconstructed. "Hamletmachine" boldly leaves the realm of psychological narrative and creates a landscape of betrayed revolution.
The artistic challenges of the performance created by the director Artūras Areima and the conscious resistance to this complex text inspired by the search for forms encourage the viewer to think consciously and rationally about the social and human self-perception problems caused by the great socio-cultural transformations. The creators of the show resist transgression, i.e. the experience of limits, the idea of the death of god; man after the death of God is a man whose fundamental definition is not openness to God's limitlessness, but the ability to discover his own limits. Transgression is not only the fixation of the loss of God, but also the testimony of God as an impossibility. "I'm not Hamlet... My drama is gone" - the more the characters of the play speak, the clearer it becomes that they are only inspired by their own stories, exist in a stopped time, in a closed state. The performance forces the viewer to face the consciousness of a young person suffering from anxiety, searching for meaning, and trying to understand himself through destructive, borderline experiences.
