The cult group "Swans" will hold an unforgettable performance in St. John's Church

"Swans" was formed by Michael Gira in 1982. in New York. Originally known for their merciless, brutal, high-volume sonic attacks and extreme, dark lyrics and thunderous vocals, Swans have since gone through many transformations.
After the ominous Filth and Cop albums, the ensemble delved into the harshly mechanical Greed-era proto-industrial rock, before following up with the landmark double opus Children of God, a cross between atmospheric idyll and spiritual struggle. Finally, the final statement of that Swans era was the album Soundtracks For The Blind (1996), which combined the previous elements into a musical soundtrack for the soul lasting more than two hours.https://youtu.be/ImhS-3SMGDALater, a long break followed in the existence of "Swans" - M. Gira disbanded the group after 15 years of continuous recordings and tours. Over the next 13 years, he produced several critically acclaimed albums and performed extensively live with Angels Of Light. M. Gira also produced and released other musicians' albums on his label "Young God Records".
in 2010 "Swans" unexpectedly revived with the release of the studio album "My Father Will Guide Me Up A Rope To The Sky" - the work praised by critics marked not only the new beginning of the group, but also the beginning of their strongest creative period.
The triple album "The Seer" that followed was accompanied by another long world tour. Following extremely positive media attention and massive album sales, The Seer entered the Billboard Top 200. Swans' next effort, To Be Kind (another triple vinyl), debuted at number 36 on the Billboard Top 200 and number 5 on the Indie charts. in the sales list.https://youtu.be/-MU5QBT-KWQThe band sold out 47 shows on the following tour, including two nights in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Paris. "The Glowing Man" was the last studio work of this incarnation of "Swans", and in 2019 with the released 15th studio album "Leaving Meaning", M. Gira returned to work with session musicians, but with a completely different, softer and particularly meditative sound.
Swans' sixteenth studio album "The Beggar" will be released very soon - on June 23. Mute / Young God Records. The works were born quite easily, and, at the same time, always with the suspicion that these could be my last works.” - says Michael Gira - "When I was finally able to travel with the songs to Berlin, work with my friends to record this record, the feeling was similar to the moment in the movie "The Wizard of Oz" when it goes from black and white to color. I'm feeling pretty optimistic now. My favorite color is pink. I hope you enjoy the album."The Beggar was worked on by:
