Steve Hauschildt and Fume - a cozy ambient evening and a unique audiovisual experience
On November 11, a double electronic music concert will take place at the Arts Printing House. The series of "Suru.lt live" events is continued by guest from the USA Steve Hauschildt and Lithuanian producer Fume.
The American is primarily famous as a member of the group "Emeralds". Active from 2006 to 2013, the trio distinguished themselves by creating ambient, minimal, kosmische music. Before the collective broke up, all three of its members also released solo albums. Last year, the group was re-established and has recently been performing again.
Meanwhile, Steve Hauschildt continues his successful solo career. The music he creates is best described by the terms ambient, Berlin-school, IDM, drone, new age. The influence of Klaus Schulze, Steve Reich, "Tangerine Dream", "Autechre" is clearly heard here, but attentive listeners will easily recognize Hauschildt's already firmly established and unique style. While experimenting in the studio, he "breaks" synthesizers trying to squeeze the maximum out of them and find what "sticks together". The result is experimental electronic music that conveys a certain mood of melancholy and dreaminess. It is a multi-layered medium in which soft melodies and subtle serious textures intertwine.

Not quite dance music yet, but no longer ambient. Steve Hauschildt's sound is characterized by a kind of sterility and purity in sound. These are often instrumental and rather abstract works, although recently Styvas allows himself to experiment and indulges in vocals (both guest and his own).

Steve Hauschildt's latest album Nolin was released in 2019 by the famous Ghostly International label. The program from this album and new material will be presented during the performance.

On the same evening, Maksimilianas Opriška, who works under the pseudonym Fume, will present his new work. Two very different records "Luminance" and "Data Sapiens" earned Fume the status of a quality and quite versatile producer. One of the essential attributes of Fume is masterful juggling of voltage amplitudes.
The creator, who is currently recording a new album, plans to present brand new material, which is promised to be released next year.
