The XXVI International Accordion Festival Vilnius 2023 presents - the intriguing and latest solo program "Skara B" by Belgian accordionist Philippe Thuriot, who is a leader in the charts of classical accordion music, invites you to dive into the depths of baroque music.
After the prestigious and highly acclaimed recordings of Bach's Goldberg Variations and Couperin's music, which received very high praise from the international music press and received favorable reviews, Belgian accordionist Philippe Thuriot dives headlong into baroque music with a brand new project combining J.S. Bach and D. Scarlatti's compositions.
The performer actively performs in various countries of the world and participates in many international festivals, such as Crete Senesi in Tuscany, Philippe Herreweghe. Played together with such jazz masters as Ellery Eskelin, René Lussier, Uri Caine, Mark Feldman and Maria Schneider.
Wide profile accordionist Phillippe, who calls himself a musical centipede, is interested in detail and professionally performs music of various genres - from jazz and improvisation to classical.
