For sixteen years now, choirs not only from the region of Western Lithuania, but also from all over Lithuania have come to the Klaipėda Mary Queen of Peace shrine to celebrate a joyful Holy Christmas.
Klaipėda City Choir Association "Aukuras" together with Klaipėda Mary Queen of Peace Church has been organizing the Christmas carol festival since 2007, which has become a beautiful tradition that unites church choirs, promotes the choirs' artistic excellence, and activates their participation in the spiritual and cultural life of society.
This year, 9 collectives from Barstyčiai, Gargžda, Kalvarija, Kaunas, Klaipėda, Plungė, Rietava, Skuoda and Šilutė are participating.
We hope that the Festival of Christmas carols will decorate this great holiday, will bring together the community for prayer, goodness and beauty. We invite you to participate in the festival, hang out with us!
