On 1 April, things can get quite serious. Thus, during Vilnius' 700th birthday year, the entertainment hall Vakaris will feature a new version of the songs of the legendary rock band Hyperbolė. Although this will not be a true revival of the band, its songs will be performed by the well-known band Hiperband.
Hiperband, which has been around since 2013, is a collective of five rock music professionals. The name itself suggests a link to the legendary Hyperbole. What better time than spring for Hipeband to invite parents back to their youth, or to introduce their children to the undead songs of Hyperbole?
The professional collective is delighted both to have preserved the authentic sound of the 80s, which has become a cultural heritage, and to be able to convey a powerful musical message to contemporary society. After all, the songs of Hyperbolė attract young and old alike to events and celebrations. And of course, they are fascinated by the fact that all of Hyperband's performances are with live music only - an exceptional reflection of the band's time-tested sound, harmonious voices and love for music.
Many would probably agree that the history of Lithuanian rock music is simply unimaginable without the work of Hiperbolė, familiar to several generations of music lovers. For many of them, it has remained in their memory as a symbol of nostalgic youth. Anatoly Kapustin, a friend and pupil of Hiperbolė guitarist Igor Berin, performs vocals and guitar parts in Hiperband. He is accompanied on guitar by Vadim Chukhontsev, one of the best Lithuanian guitarists. Arūnas Sabukas, who plays bass guitar, and Marius Kunca, the master of percussion of the rhythm section.
At every concert, the band strives to recreate the authentic sound of the band Hyperbolė, so they play the songs as they were once performed by the founders of Hyperbolė themselves. The band's repertoire consists of the most famous Hyperbolė songs of all time: "I'll still sing", "Summer", "I'll look for you", "Water signs", "Pamiršk Me", "Fancy life", "Come back", "Fairy" and many other well-known musical hits.
The group "Hyperband" will make sure that on Saturday evening, 1 April, with the best songs of the legendary rock band "Hyperbolė", the best mood will be guaranteed for those who visit the entertainment hall "Vakaris" with their family or friends.
