For viewers who miss a good story full of feelings.
"24 hours from a woman's life" is the story of three women longing for real, strong, fatal love. Valiūkiška Irene, mysterious Mrs. K. and nobody's beloved Leporele. Three stories of spreading passion, merciless twists and turns of fate, painful irony, mischievous laughter...
Actress Valda Bičkutė, the author of this idea, admits that she has long wanted to enter into such an open dialogue with the audience: "These are the origins of the actor's theater. It is like a development laboratory that gives the actor unlimited opportunities for self-expression. Fascinated, I read more than one book by S. Zweig. The idea of transferring his short stories to the theater has been floating around for a long time. Adapting literature for the stage is difficult, and it is often impoverished because many descriptions have to be discarded. And the small form allows you to concentrate on the story.
Actress Virginija Kochanskytė is convinced: "This initiative of Valda restores trust in the actor, who in today's theater usually becomes only one of the tools for the expression of the director's ideas and where he only has to fit into the mosaic of light, video, sound, scenography installations. In the close contact between the actor and the audience, all the nuances of acting can be seen as if through a magnifying glass. Such a dialogue requires chamber spaces, perhaps even darkness, concentration, listening."
S. Zweig is famous as a wonderful biographer who is able to notice a person and convey his portrait to the reader in a nuanced way. "24 hours of a woman's life" is another man's attempt to solve the mystery of femininity. In the stories interpreted by the actors, fate plays an important role: it invades a world constrained by rules, and you can only guess why you acted one way or another.
S. Zweig says: "A woman's love is characterized by a great willingness to sacrifice." The actress interprets it: "Sometimes it's beauty, and sometimes it's destruction, but if fate brings feelings into your life, cherish it." Reject everything that was negative, and carry everything else through life and thank God that it was."
