We would like to invite all song-loving families to come together and sing Advent together. After all, it's not uncommon to want to go somewhere, but to worry that the little fellows will cry, run around or otherwise "disturb" the serious representatives of the adult world. Families don't have to worry about that at the Etnoerdvis sing-alongs - kids of all ages, parents, friends, neighbours, grandparents... Everyone who is familiar with the hustle and bustle, the loud joy and sadness, and the little curious eyes and hands.

Advent time has always been about concentration, calming down and preparing for the big celebrations of the year. When the outdoor work was over, the whole family would gather in the hut, where it was warm and cosy. There was no shortage of quiet work - spinning, rope twisting, carving, weaving - and at the same time songs, games, jokes and stories... Advent and Christmas songs are special, formerly known as carols, and not sung any more over the years. They are distinguished by their special choruses, and are also recognisable from their plots, which conceal the oldest images of our ancestral world and the special relationship between nature and man.

We will sing, learn and even listen a little bit to the voices from the archives together during the event. A programme of songs, tea and biscuits is our concern, so just drop in and enjoy the fellowship. Or maybe you will decide to bring one of the other songs to your festive table.

The singing will be led by ethnomusicologist and double mother Vera Venckūnaitė. 

Price of the event - 7 EUR. The number of participants is limited.
The event is designed for participants and families of all ages. Children under 8 years of age do not need a ticket.
The purchased event ticket is non-refundable and non-exchangeable, unless the event is cancelled or postponed due to the organizer's fault.

The event takes place in the premises of "Etnoerdvi" at Raitininkų str. 2-3 (entrance from the courtyard side, through the door hidden behind the green shrubs and the bushes).

Photographs and/or videos may be taken during the event, and the captured material will be made available for public. By attending the event, you agree to be seen in photographs and videos of the event and are informed that these photographs and videos may be made public.
