"Waiting for a Dance" will invite the audience to indulge in an intimate moment of waiting. What does a person experience in the waiting state? If we wait together, can we experience the desire for change together? The unfolding of the play's time through repetition and non-existence creates an ever-increasing expectation that something will happen. Perhaps what we don't yet know is how (…) This soundscape was created by the choreographer Yelena Arakelow herself and is her first sound work. It is based on Yelena's iPhone field recordings. Field recordings were made during waiting moments in Reykjavik, Vestman Islands (Iceland), Riga and Vangaži (Latvia).
