Do you need to hit rock bottom to have something to fall back on? After all, it doesn't matter what has already happened - the only thing that matters is how you would like to continue your story and from where. There are no fatal mistakes, someone else's fault or fate. Life's misfortunes, mind-numbing anger or stupid behavior always become an opportunity to look at things differently.
Parties, alcohol, women, cocaine and black humor accompany the main character of the play, Deivydas, who is drowning in sadness, but the director Agnius Jankevičius reminds our tension: "Chill! Calm down!". Life is a recurring dream that will not end until each of us creates our own continuation of the story.
I. VYRYPAJEV's play satirically mocks pseudo-spirituality and consumer culture. Complex characters over a glass of whiskey have fun talking about abstract things like spiritual practices, nirvana and a better world, but at the same time they do not solve the real problems of the here and now - they do not unravel the tangled vortex of relationships and intrigues that surround them.
The performance is unusual in that the audience seats are placed on the stage in a circle around the actors. Such transformation of the stage significantly reduces the distance between the "spectators" (spectators) and the "observed" (actors) and creates a much more intimate atmosphere. Four actors - Aleksandras Kleinas, Lena Orlova, Goda Piktytė and Marcelė Zikaraitė - tell a story that resembles a recurring dream. It will never end until each of us creates our own continuation of the story. Stage concept (ten characters and four actors), scenography and direction - A. Jankevičiaus.
