"Dreaming with Čiurlionius" - that's the name of the trio from Latvia "ELPO" visiting the Tytuvėnai festival for the first time
The trio of friends gathered in 2016 weaves the origins of jazz, academic and rock music in their work. Their music is characterized by meditative musical landscapes, strong and dynamic rhythmic structures and fast, energetic playing. In the round hall of the Baisogalas manor, the performers, combining the characteristics of different musical worlds, will create a musical space where you can dream with Čiurlionis and experience the unknown horizons of Čiurlionis's work in the form of jazz meditation. The performers believe that the most beautiful things in music are those that we cannot rationally explain, and invite you to discover these wonders of Čiurlionis together.
In this program, the performers focus on abstract dreams and the poetic aspect of music. Jazz elements, a wide range of colors, improvisation, diverse musical texture - all these tools will help reveal the musical treasures hidden between Čiurlionis' lines. Often the most beautiful things in music are those that we cannot rationally explain. Let's find these wonders of Čiurlionis together.
