The winners of the stage work competition "Balcony occupation '22" present a linguistic opera-performance - "fallout of the stimuli", which tells a story based on various laws of language acquisition and loss. Stages of children's language development, "code-switching" or features of Wernicke's and Broca's aphasias, as the main voice of the story, reflect several abstract stages of one person's life and examine his relationship with his environment.
Linguistic and more general narrative processes are revealed in the piece through the interaction of vocals and instruments and the use of three different languages: English, Spanish and Selk'nam, the indigenous language of the Tierra del Fuego island in Chile. At the same time, various references are made to the collective experience of people as they grow up and step into unfamiliar territories. When do we choose to change, adapt, borrow or adopt? And when do we tend to create a whole new world for ourselves? No matter how chaotic a person is inside or outside, do we become inert by accepting it?
