IL SENSO is a group of popular classics created by talented Lithuanian opera soloists of the young generation. These are Ieva Barbora Juozapaitytė, who continues the tradition of family opera soloists, Indrė Anankaitė, Laimonas Bendaravičius and Kasparas Damulis. The performers are long-term stage partners in various classical projects, participate in TV shows and festivals. In this year's selection for Eurovision with the song "Sparnai", the group gained a lot of audience sympathy and reached the final. The lyrics and music of the song were created by the well-known artist Merūnas Vitulskis.
The group was born during the difficult time of quarantine. "At that time, when the whole cultural life was at a standstill, we wanted to create and sing. We wanted to encourage others to never give up. We chose the name of the ensemble to be noble and meaningful, just like the idea of the beauty of music that we carry. That's why we named the group in Italian - il senso means "meaning", says Laimonas, a member of the group.
The repertoire of the "Il senso" quartet consists of well-known classical hits, arias from musicals, Neapolitan, Lithuanian and other national classical songs.
