▇▆▅▄▃▂▁ Some things are timeless – and should stay that way. For example, the sounds of Kaunas Jazz that flood our city every spring, announcing nature’s awakening. Now celebrating its 35th anniversary, the festival bursts into every alley, window, and park of the city in countless forms, becoming what many have come to love as a “harmonious chaos.” We’re happy to announce that this year we, the Lizdas Sound Institute, have been invited to join the esteemed Kaunas Jazz.
Our shared evening will begin at Kultūra, where we’ll present our own interpretation of a jazz challenge, joined by the endlessly sung-about Tomas BOO and the no less brilliant vinyl virtuoso Pakas.
As night falls, we’ll open the Auditorija club space at the Mykolas Žilinskas Art Gallery. There, house music saturated with jazz will be polished by the legendary Brit Da Sunlounge, the widely-known Lauris Lee – also director of Ryralio and Genys Brewery – and a never-before-heard-in-Kaunas live performance by Fiorini and Cport Cistema, titled “No Intention.” Jazzolicious!
