The town where Jakub lives may seem similar to many other Lithuanian towns. But for Jakub, it is his favourite. It's home to his grandfather, the best tailor who makes miracles out of scraps of fabric, his dad, a theatre director who adores the world of theatre, his most caring mum and the many strange people who hang out in the streets of town. Here, the tastiest doughnuts and the fattest fish are sold, the most colourful stories are told and the strangest adventures happen. It's a place where life is bustling, where people fight, make peace, fall in love and dream. But one day war breaks out. James hides in the basement and comes out to find the streets empty. Where are they - all the street vendors, the musicians, the dear and close faces who lived nearby? Where are they now? What to do when there is not even the smallest scrap of material left to make something? What is left when there is nothing left?
