On the occasion of the Great Winter Holidays, the Early Cinema Festival "First Wave" invites you to a special programme of films by animation pioneer V. Starevich. Based on the work of Ukrainian writer N. Gogol, "The Night of the Bitches" will tell the story of the wonders of Christmas Eve: the wicked devil who is out to capture the moon, the witch who flies on a broom, and the clever blacksmith who tries to give the most beautiful shoes in the world to the one he loves. The programme will be complemented by a short stop-motion animation film, "A Forest Dweller's Christmas", in which the magical insects that live in the forest get ready for the holidays. The film will be accompanied by Viktoras Orestas Vagusevičius (piano). With Lithuanian and English subtitles.
