Young and enthusiastic Lithuanian musicians Klementina Venciūtės-violin, Augustas Gocentas-cello and Lukas Gedvilas-piano gathered in a chamber ensemble for their debut concert at the Tytuvėnai Festival. During the concert, the works of composers rarely performed in concert halls will be played.
On July 22, the trio will perform one of the most famous songs of the 19th century at Baisogalas Manor. pianist and composer Clara Schumann (1819-1896) piano trio in G minor op 17. Clara wrote this trio while expecting her fourth child and nursing her seriously ill husband Robert Schumann. It is the latter's influence and romantic style that is felt in the trio. The sonata of the first movement sounds strong and decisive, the two middle parts, scherzo and andante, are quite gentle, full of lyrical warmth and sublime pathos. The finale features dramatic forms and counterpoint. Although the whole piece is characterized by expressive restraint, it masterfully embraces the intimacy of the piano trio, creating a wonderfully balanced texture. The concert will also feature Fazıl Say (b. 1970) - trio "Cosmic Leap" op. 46. "Space jump" is an impressive jump from the stratosphere. In this composition, Say depicts each stage of the jump from takeoff to safe landing on Earth. Fazıl Say - one of the most famous Turkish pianists and composers, whose work is characterized by expressiveness, abundant orchestration, features of dance, rhapsody, and abundant use of traditional eastern instruments.
The concert will be closed by the Lithuanian composer of Jewish origin, winner of the Lithuanian National Culture and Art Prize and other awards, considered one of the most famous contemporary Lithuanian composers Anatolijus Šenderov (1945-2019) - Trio No. 2 In memoriam. The composer's music is expressive, has an evocative dramaturgy, and is characterized by a variety of timbres, dynamics and textures. Most of the works are characterized by a moderately modern musical language with elements of various modern techniques. "Trio No. 2" was created in 1984 and is dedicated to the memory of the composer Stasios Vainiūnas and to all the artists who left this world too early. Contrasting episodes juxtaposed by the trio is a well-recognizable feature of the dramaturgy of A. Šenderov's music.
