Lina Rastokaitė's solo concert "Music that Changed Lithuania" invites you to travel with your heart. In this sensual event, the audience will hear the well-known music that changed Lithuania in its time. The concert will feature works by Vytautas Kernagis, Hyperbola, songs from The Devil's Bride and other Lithuanian musicals, as well as songs based on poems by Algimantas Baltakis, Antanas Miškinis, Paulijus Širvis and contemporary composers. The music will be accompanied by lively stories about the lives of Lithuanian creators.
"We all grew up with these works, lived them, sang them countless times. They have changed not only us, but also Lithuania. I will tell the audience how it happened. And I will also share some funny, juicy stories from the lives of musicians and poets. You will find out what Širvys talked about with a stranger on a train, what creative sufferings Vytautas Kernagis experienced, what mystical and unexplainable things happened during the construction of The Devil's Bride and where on Earth the paradise seen in the musical was filmed, and many other interesting things," the singer says.
But it's not just lyrical, quiet nostalgia that audiences will find themselves immersed in. There will also be real musical shenanigans and jokes, dynamic and exciting. There will be a wide variety of genres and emotions and lots of colour.
