Two American friends - Airis and Natalie - come to the town of Lunenberg in Canada. One of them, recently widowed, inherited a house in this beautiful corner of the world on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean. Which her late husband never mentioned…
Perhaps Charlie, an unexpected neighbor, will help solve the secrets that this house hides. Especially since one of the guests immediately "falls into his eye" (or maybe into his heart).
An ironic melodrama that tells us about ourselves, opens the depths of human relationships, makes us laugh with witty dialogues.
In his work, the director often combines two opposite poles - traditional psychological theater and shocking, provocative theater forms.
The director says about the play "Lunenberg": "I could compare the very light but deep text of this play to Mozart's music, the performance of which always requires mastery, creative discipline and a special sense of freedom. We invite the audience, one might say, almost to a fairy tale, where the characters solve problems that are well understood by all of us like superheroes. These characters are a great example of how it is possible to be free and strong personalities without being ideal, because it is impossible to be ideal. And it is important to emphasize that the play is not just about strong personalities, but about strong WOMEN and MEN who make mistakes, do stupid things, get offended and angry, but still know how to love life and each other."
GABIJA JARAMINAITĖ, VALDA BIČKUTĖ and JOKŪBAS BAREIKIS are famous and beloved Lithuanian theater and film actors, who have played several dozen roles in the country's theaters, cinema and television.
Actress Gabija Jaraminaitė:
"This play teaches me that it doesn't matter what situations and circumstances come our way in life. What matters is how we react to them and what conclusions we draw. And if we are still able to look at it with humor, life is immediately easier."
Actress Valda Bičkutė:
"As an actress, this performance is extremely valuable to me, due to the incredible subtlety and complexity of the score of the role. Performing some scenes teaches the kind of mastery turns that every actor dreams of."
