Without a doubt, the concert will feature Manto's most popular works and latest singles, only this time in a completely new, different sound, together with a special musical phenomenon on the Lithuanian scene - a 12 cello orchestra and a live band.
In these performances, Manto's works will be combined with open stories using theater and video motifs. "This is not just a concert, it is life and philosophy, which will be combined into a single whole - twelve stories, twelve most important episodes of my life. From the lightness of childhood, the rebellion of adolescence, to maturity, family, projection into the future and finally - old age. With all the joys and failures, ups and downs. In this performance, I will tell my story, but I think that every person will recognize a part of themselves - after all, we are all a little alike", says the artist.
According to Mantos, who has extensive experience not only in music, but also on the stage of theater and cinema, the number twelve was not chosen by chance - it is found near us every day.
"We often look at the clock, at the calendar, the cosmos and our daily lives also revolve around this number. There are many connections, meanings and symbolism. It is no accident that we chose the twelfth month for the shows, and their content will also tell exactly twelve life stories."
The concerts will also be decorated with twelve cellos, which, according to the performer, are not only a very visually beautiful and scenic instrument, but also have their own little-known magic.
"For me, the miracle of the cello is that its range most closely matches the range of the human voice," says Mantas. "It is the closest equivalent of an instrument to a human voice, and since this concert is about a man for the people, the cellos also symbolically stand up for this part."
The strongest Lithuanian artists work at the "12 cellos" holiday concerts: innovative lighting and scenography artist Arvydas Buinauskas, composer, one of the best arrangement masters Jievaras Jasinskis. Especially for these concerts, the director Indrė Juškutė creates video content that will decorate the live concerts with cinematic elements.
Mantas Jankavičius is a singer and songwriter who started experimenting with music when he was just 13 years old, has released studio albums, received several awards as the best performer, and is also a long-time teacher of the TV project "Voice of Lithuania".
Mantas has played the main roles in the musicals "Love and Death in Verona", "Paris Cathedral", "The Legend of Žygimantas Augustus and Barbora Radvilaitė", "Eglė Žalčių Karalienė", "Mažvydas" and others. He also played the main roles in D. Ulvyda's film "Tads Blinda: The Beginning" and "On the Way" (dir. R. Marcinkus). On the stage of the theater, he created the main roles in the play "Free Butterflies" by D. Kazlauskas and "Tango in F" by A. Cholina.
The concerts will be played on December 14. In Vilnius, at the Compensa concert hall, on December 29. Klaipėda, in the "Švyturios" arena and on January 5. In Kaunas, in the "Zalgiris" arena. Tickets are distributed by bilietai.lt.
