At the concert, Gediminas Gelgot and the New Ideas Chamber Orchestra NIKO will perform the compositions of the most famous minimalists Arvo Pärt (Estonia), Max Richter (UK), Philip Glass (USA) and Gediminas Gelgot (Lithuania), the creator of the entire concert program. The latter's music has already been played at the Paris "Théâtre des Champs-Élysées", the Berlin "Konzerthaus", the Zurich "Tonhalle" and elsewhere, and is broadcast by the international "Mezzo TV" television channel. Critics draw attention to the unique and very attractive musical language of Gelgot, based on the aesthetics of minimalism, modern, multi-stylistic influences, combining the beauty of an ascetic melody with an infectious rhythmic beginning. The chamber orchestra of new ideas was founded by NIKO in 2006. was founded by composer and conductor Gediminas Gelgotas.
