Student: "Some teachers say there is no such body at all..."
Myong Hae Sunim (turning to another student): "Tump him!"
"I wanted to create a mono performance for a long time. After actively looking for material, I met the director Aleksandar Marchenko, who offered me this play with some hesitation. Already the first sentences "caught" me. Everything is so similar to my own experiences", says actress Edita Užaitė, who plays in the performance "Nude".
"Naked" is the debut play of playwright Mila Fakhurdinova. It is a completely documentary work - the only discrepancy is that Mila, who had been in India for nine months, realized that she lacked material, so she returned there a second time and stayed for another three months. The play "Naked" is a compilation of her two experiences.
After graduating from medical studies, Ms. Fakhurdinova was preparing to be a pediatric surgeon, but she did not work according to her specialty. Fascinated by cinema, she started filming amateur short films, studied directing and screenwriting. Ms. Fakhurdinova even became a laureate of several short film festivals. After the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, she successfully changed her profession and obtained the qualification of a tattoo artist. Reading the last blog entries of the author, it seems that she still promises to return to the cinema.
Aleksandras Marchenko - director, actor, curator of theatrical projects. Since 2009 organized presentations and readings of plays, prepared sketches of performances, dramaturgy competitions. "I dedicate the play to our Teacher, Dharma Master Myong Hae Sunim, who died last summer" (Edita Užaitė)
