In the solo exhibition "My Little Apocalypse" Rafal Piesliak presents his latest installations, which analyse the accelerating changes in technology and its impact on society. The universal and eternal discussion in the artist's works moves away from the banal discussion of computer technology or artificial intelligence and focuses on the deeper aspects of the subject. The exhibition presents installations made of light objects and old industrial parts that are increasingly rare in production. Through the close experience of these objects, the artist reveals the less visible problems caused by technological progress, specifically related to both individual and universal experiences. By returning to elements of technology that are no longer in use, the sculptor highlights the constant change not only in the tools themselves, but also in professions and the labour market, as well as their impact on people's personal lives. The gallery spaces create a unique atmosphere that engages the viewer in an active analysis of the exhibition and evokes a collective memory. The post-apocalyptic feeling of the exhibition offers an intuitive immersion into the perception of the works and a personal relationship with the changing world. (AV17) will be open at the gallery (Totorių g. 5, Vilnius) until 6 March.
