On December 2nd, the concert of the piano duo - one of the most outstanding pianists of their generation, Justas Šerveniks from Lithuania and Johan Randvere from Estonia, will be performed by the composer Johann Sebastian Bach for piano and orchestra. The duo will be supported on stage by the VDU chamber orchestra.
Pianist J. ŠERVENIKAS, born into a family of musicians, started his first music lessons at the age of eight at the Vilnius B. Dvarions ten-year music school, studied at the M.K. Čiurlionis National School of Arts, and later entered the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater, where he completed his master's studies. For one year, the pianist studied at the Hanover High School of Music and Theater.
Since 2006 J. Šerveniks started an active concert activity, appeared on various Lithuanian concert stages - the Lithuanian National Philharmonic, Klaipėda Concert Hall, Kaunas Philharmonic and many others. As a soloist or a member of chamber ensembles, he toured in Belarus, Belgium, Denmark, Great Britain, Estonia, Poland, Italy, Latvia, Norway, Russia, Germany, Mexico. Played together with the Lithuanian National, LMTA and San Luis Potosi city symphony, Klaipėda and Lithuanian chamber orchestras, "Skipton Camerata". In recent years, the pianist has been paying more and more attention to chamber music, his regular stage partners are the Dutch tenor Marcel Beekman, the French violinist Philippe Grafine and the pianist Petras Geniuš.
The winner of many international competitions, the talented young generation Estonian pianist J. RANDVERE has already performed in such halls as New York's Carnegie Hall, Milan's La Sala Puccini, etc. He played solo with Latvian National Symphony, Estonian National Symphony, Tallinn Chamber Orchestra, Vanemuine Symphony and other orchestras. The pianist regularly performs in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Italy, the Vatican, Sweden, Germany, Finland, Canada, the USA.
J. Šerveniks and J. Randvere have been playing together as a piano duo since 2019, presenting several new programs to the audience each year. in 2023 during the season, the duo played concerts in Kristiansand, Sanjeford (Norway) and in the Tallinn Philharmonic Hall. This year, the duo is invited to open the Parnu (Estonia) symphony orchestra's concert season, performing Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's concerto for two pianos and orchestra.
