Have you ever wondered what the puppets do when the show is over? What do they dream about, what do they feel when they are left alone? Together with the Puppet Master, let's pull back the mysterious curtain and move into the reality where the puppets live: where the music is loud, the songs are constant, the adventures are plentiful and the colours are a little brighter.
One day, before a performance, the puppets decide that they are tired of being controlled by other actors-puppets. They rebel and take the whole creative process into their own hands. But is it really possible to make a good performance without collaborating with others? After all, putting on a play requires a lot of different expertise and a shared creative vision that the whole team believes in.
A PUPPET'S LIFE is a celebration of 65 years of Kaunas State Puppet Theatre's creative journey. During this performance, we will not only see what the process of creating a performance looks like, but we will also be able to see the authentic puppets of performances that are no longer performed, which are still remembered with joy by many people today: the Blue Dog, the Pinocchio, the Merry Cocks, the Black Hen, the Red Riding Hood and the Wolf.
