The cradle of genre-defying music of the highest order, Improdimensija closes its autumn season with the brightest stars of Scandinavian free jazz and improvised music today - drummer Kresten Osgood and pianist Soren Kjaergaard.

Kresten and Soren are cousins who first stepped on stage in 1992 in Oklahoma, USA. That year, according to eyewitness accounts, the two Danish teenagers showed what they were worth! Since then, K. Osgood and S. Kjaergaard have met regularly in different bands, such as the Danish National Theatre. They have also been involved in different groups, including Michael Blakes' quartet Blake Tartare, trio formats with bassists Thom Morgan, Hugo Rasmussen and Jonas Westergaard, The Motherfucking Trio with trumpet master Herb Robertson, and even in the cult Danish hip-hop group Ikscheltaschel. These are relatives for whom playing is a constant quest for new experiences without being limited by any preconceived notions!

K. Osgood and Kjaergaard's duo is a unique phenomenon not only in the Scandinavian context, but also in the context of contemporary and experimental jazz throughout Europe. In Vilnius, the duo will present a virtuoso musical performance that will not lack drama or comedy. It will be a narrative full of the most unexpected dramatic twists and turns, and once the audience has experienced it, they will realise that the saying that we have heard it all before is false.

The wildly unpredictable duo will be accompanied by Mėta Gabrielė Pelegrimaitė-Kaupinė. She is one of the most prominent flutists, who not only dives into the free improvisational music scene, but also ventures into much broader experimental fields, where electronics, rock, jazz and other genres merge. Mėta is involved in projects such as Šalna, Ambulance on Fire, SNUS, Fleitas 3 and others. "

The cradle of genre-defying, top-class music, Improdimensija, will conclude its autumn season with two of today's brightest stars in Scandinavian free jazz and improvisational music - drummer Kresten Osgood and pianist Søren Kjærgaard.

Kresten and Søren, cousins, first took the stage in 1992 in Oklahoma, USA. According to eyewitness accounts, these two Danish teenagers showcased their exceptional talent. Since then, K. Osgood and S. Kjærgaard have frequently collaborated in various ensembles, such as Michael Blake's quartet Blake Tartare, trios with bassists Thomas Morgan, Hugo Rasmussen, and Jonas Westergaard, The Motherfucking Trio with trumpet maestro Herb Robertson, and even the iconic Danish hip-hop group Ikscheltaschel. For these relatives, playing music is a constant search for new experiences without being confined by any preconceived notions.

The duo of K. Osgood and S. Kjærgaard is a unique phenomenon not only in Scandinavian but also in the broader European contemporary and experimental jazz scene. In Vilnius, this tandem will deliver a virtuoso musical performance brimming with drama and comedy. It promises to be a tale filled with the most unexpected dramatic twists, leaving listeners with the realization that the phrase "we've heard it all before" is simply untrue.

The wildly unpredictable duo will be joined by Mėta Gabrielė Pelegrimaitė-Kaupinė, one of the most prominent flutists, who navigates not only the world of free improvisational music but also ventures into much broader experimental fields where electronic, rock, jazz, and other genres intertwine. Mėta is involved in projects such as Šalna, Ambulance on Fire, SNUS, Fleitų 3, and others. For the Improdimensijos audience, the flutist will present a special solo program.
