Six voices weaving a tapestry of purest sound. Stopping time and constantly spinning thoughts. Creating the effect of extraterrestrial transparency and majesty. Want to experience it? Then this concert is for you! The Gesualdo Six is coming to Lithuania for the first time. This is one of the strongest British vocal ensembles, continuing the tradition of male choirs singing a cappella (without accompaniment).
in 2014 Owain Park has brought together the UK's best young singers for one show at Trinity College Cambridge. The future members of The Gesualdo Six did not even suspect that this was a fateful meeting that would become a powerful source of creativity.
In the first 5 years, the singers gave 150 performances, winning the love of the audience and professional recognition: "impeccable performance and indescribable excitement caused by musicians working as one" (Gramophone); "the sound seems to float in the air until it reaches the ears of the enraptured audience. . . . Every line, every wonderful texture was dazzlingly clear" (The Times).
The collective dedicates the performance in Vilnius to the 700th anniversary of the capital, presenting a bouquet of old music works, unfolding in all their beauty in St. In the vaults of St. Catherine's Church
