The stories of my songs are my life, with both black and white
The creator Kazimieras Jakutis - Pagulbis, who uses songs as diaries, recalls the most important events of his life, which included recruitment by the KGB, as well as memories of his homeland, and his family's history is told through songs.
From 16 February, K. Jakutis invites you to concerts of his original songs. Unlike other concerts, these will feature only his own lyrics. In choosing the songs for his upcoming tour, the artist says it is as if he has gone back in time almost five decades - that's how long it has been since he first wrote a song.
"Once I heard a comment from a fan that I don't write anything myself, I just cover other poets' lyrics. This thought prompted me to present only my own work to my fans. In total, I have written about thirty songs based on my lyrics. Among them are the audience's favourite "Don't Leave", "Autumn", "For the Girl of the Clouds", "For Gruoblis", "If I Can't Have You", "For the Fatherland Sky", and others," - says the bard K. Jakutis.
The musician will perform with an acoustic band - backing vocalist Vaida Jakutienė, Gediminas Legas (rhythm) and Aurimas Driukas (guitar, keyboards). This tour also marks the 20th anniversary of K. Jakutis' solo concerts.
