"Traces of silence" is a meditative dance and sound piece, the context of which will be expanded by the exhibition of photographs and interview excerpts accompanying the concert. The dramaturgical basis of the performance consists of conversations with the residents of Kuliai town. Answering questions, they pondered what is most important to them today, what silence means to them and whether it is possible these days, when the world is so troubled.
Although everyday life is usually filled with daily worries, preparations for family holidays, responsibilities at work and domestic problems, with the outbreak of the pandemic, the continuation of the war in Ukraine, the changing climate and the growing threat of economic crisis, there is something to talk about with each other. Norwegian choreographer and dance pedagogue Gunhild Bjørnsgaard's works are not limited to body plastic, she combines elements of dance, music, theater, visual art and architecture in her work. The composer of the performance, Thomas Strønen, is a Norwegian percussionist who has contributed to more than 70 musical albums, teaches at the Norwegian Academy of Music, collaborates with musicians from around the world, jazz festivals and radio
stations.
