Puppet master Aloyzas Žiogas, who is cosily housed in the attic of the theatre, will be happy to tell you about his brave and clever tribesman Zigmas Žiogas, who helped Prince Vytautas to win the Žalgiris Battle.
The characters of the performance will not only take the audience along the roads and paths of Lithuanian history, but will also open the doors of the theatre's kitchen - the stage will demonstrate how sounds of the environment and natural phenomena are created, how the simplest household utensils become the protagonists of history. The performances for the young audience are born out of the desire to tell about the important, eternal, valuable things in an understandable and interesting way, but I try not to force it. I have been searching for the right language with children for many years, drawing on my own experience and looking for new, untried ways. This time I wanted to talk about one of the most significant events in Lithuanian history - the Battle of Žalgiris, but the fact itself is intertwined with fairytale motifs, cheerful songs and playful elements to make it interesting for the child," says the director A. Sunklodaitė.
