Hip-hop legend "50 Cent" will perform in Kaunas this fall
On October 11, for the first time in Lithuania, the hip-hop legend "50 Cent" will hold his concert at the "Žalgiris" arena in Kaunas. The show is part of the artist's The Final Lap Tour, marking the 20th anniversary of the release of his debut album, Get Rich or Die Tryin'. Busta Rhymes, another heavyweight in the world of hip-hop, has been announced as a special guest of the concert.

"50 Cent" or Curtis James Jackson III (this is the artist's real name) is an award-winning rapper, entrepreneur, actor and producer from the Queens district of New York. The Grammy Award winner and one of the most talented and prolific music artists of his generation rose to fame with the release of his first album, Get Rich or Die Tryin', which broke all possible records. Since then, 50 Cent has sold more than 30 million albums and won many prestigious awards, including Grammy, BRIT awards, Primetime Emmy, Billboard Music Awards, World Music, American Music Awards, BET Awards and many others.
50 Cent's debut album, Get Rich or Die Tryin' (2003), produced by Eminem and Dr. Dre, was a huge commercial success. The singles "Wanksta" and "In Da Club" from this album had so many strong melodic "hooks" that they soon became real pop music megahits. Even two tracks - "In Da Club" and "21 Questions" - topped the US charts "Billboard Hot 100", and the album itself, according to the RIAA of the Recording Industry Association of America, became 9 times platinum.
50 Cent's second album, The Massacre (2005), which featured "Candy Shop" and "Just a Lil Bit", was a similar commercial success and received positive reviews from critics. In the fifth album "Animal Ambition" (2014) you can already hear the changes in creativity, and currently "50 Cent" is working on his latest, already sixth album.

Curtis Jackson III has also found success in film and television. Since 2014 he starred in the crime drama "Galia" and was the executive producer of these TV seasons.
