Kęstutis Švilpauskas brought together this cheerful and good-humoured team,
after inviting musicians with whom he previously played in various groups. The first concert took place
in Panevėžys in 2007 January 26 This date is named as the birthday of Daumantai musicians. At the beginning of the concert activities, the collective's repertoire consisted of Lithuanian folk works and similar stylistic songs, which is why the name was the folk music band "Daumantų muzikantai".
             Why Daumanta? Because since the beginning of the activity, the team has been friends with UAB Daumantai.LT, a well-known producer of excellent spices and flavors. The musicians of Daumanta are winners of many competitions, regular participants of "Ant rubežius" and other festivals, participants of the LRT show "Duokim garo" and winners of 2011.
              In fifteen years of creative activity, three albums have been released: "Tenai kur žali medėji", "Oi gari" and "Mes jau kiti". Why "We are already different"? The collective changed musicians, instruments, playing style, the repertoire began to include mainly original works. In August 2021, after the well-known songwriter, performer and musician Arūnas Armonis joined, all the members of the collective unanimously decided to call themselves not a band, but the band "Daumantai musicians".
Daumantai musicians actively perform at city, town, company, community celebrations, private parties and other events. Played only live, without the use of any phonograms or additional recorded instruments. The repertoire consists of original, Lithuanian folk works and other popular music, selected according to the needs and situation of the celebration.
