Young generation director Adomas Juška, student of Eimuntas Nekrošius, 2018. while still in his third year of studies, he made his debut at the State Youth Theater with the play Šveikas based on Jaroslav Hašek's book The Adventures of the Brave Soldier Šveikas. in 2019 in the spring, A. Juška presented to the audience his new work Fiction, based on the short stories of Jorge Luis Borges. The young director constructs a writer's unique journey through life, from the first moments of creative inspiration and old age reflections on the path taken. In the small square of the stage, like a blank page, reality intertwines with dreams, from which fictions are born - a constant companion of the creative person.

Adomas Juška: This is not a biographical performance about Borges, although some moments of his life will inevitably be there, because Borges often included himself as a character in short stories. Most of the characters in his stories are writers. Associations are important to me. In Search of Magical Realism. There is very little text in the play. Action was born while working with actors. During the rehearsals, a new story of a person's life took shape. I think it's created not just for the sake of someone coming and noticing, but for more spiritual things. It's not even necessarily about religion, but it's definitely about the soul. I want this performance to raise the viewer somewhere higher, above reality, above the usual context with its surreality.
