in 1954 born Scott Henderson rose to prominence in the 1980s with his legendary band Tribal Tech, and has since become one of jazz-fusion's finest guitarists/composers. He grew up in South Florida playing blues rock and funk music and was influenced by Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Jimi Hendrix, Ritchie Blackmore and his favorite blues guitarist, Albert King.
Although Henderson began his career as a blues-rock guitarist, it was his jazz influences that led to the style of playing and composing that made him famous. In addition to being a world-class musician and composer, Scott's trademark is his beautiful tone and astonishing ability to blend jazz with blues, rock and funk to create a soulful and unique guitar voice.

Scott studied arrangement and composition at Florida Atlantic University, and in 1980 moved to Los Angeles. He toured and recorded with Chick Corea's Elektric Band, violinist Jean-Luc Ponty, and enjoyed the opportunity to work with one of his favorite musicians, Joe Zawinulu, and Weather Report for four years. He recorded two albums with The Zawinul Syndicate, The Immigrants and Black Water. Henderson has also recorded ten critically acclaimed albums with Tribal Tech, including their most recent release, Tribal Tech - X (2012).

As often happens with musicians of this caliber, the demand is high, so he willingly shares his knowledge with the current generation of young guitarists.
