It seems that the band "Tabasco", which recently invited fans to a concert celebrating twenty years of creative activity, has already been in existence for twenty-five years. The fast passing time, accelerated by the restrictions of the pandemic, reminds us again that it is time to meet and celebrate, listening to new and time-tested songs.
The group was founded in 1998 by former classmates Gediminas Norvaiš (vocals) and Edmundas Noreikas (guitar, vocals) and Rimvydas Vagona (keyboards, bass, vocals) and Edmo Juška (drums). At first, most of the group's repertoire consisted of rock, rock and roll, pop music covers, and the collective mostly performed in live music clubs. The songs of his own creation were gradually recorded and collected, which were included in the first album "Veinintelis kelias", which appeared in 2002. In 2004, the second album "Pakeliuiu" was released. The group starts to present its songs more and more often on TV shows, they are broadcast by radio stations. The number of concerts on larger stages is increasing: at the Nida Festival, "Blues Nights" in Varniai, Sea Festivals in Klaipėda and elsewhere. The group is nominated in the "Radiocentro" awards. In 2005, in the LRT program "The Ten Best Songs", the audience gave the first place to the song "New Friends". In 2006, the album "Today or tomorrow" is released, in which many songs are remakes of popular world hits, in 2008, the album "Geriausios dainos" released on the occasion of ten years of the group's existence appears. In the spring of 2009, the group LRT films a live concert, which is released in DVD format. In the following years, the group continues to perform on the big stages of Lithuanian cities. Later, two more albums of original songs are created. This is the album "Our days, our nights" released in 2013 and "Praeis diena" in 2018. The member who died in 2015, Rimvydas Vagonis, is replaced by Algirdas Zigmantas from Klaipėda (keyboards, vocals). In 2018, with concerts in Klaipėda and Plungė, the group commemorates the 20th anniversary of the collective's existence. The music was varied by the Plungė symphony orchestra led by Pauliaus and Ieva Lygnugaris and guests: Inga Valinskienė, Violeta and Vilius Tarasova, Valdas Lacko.
In the spring of 2020, drummer Edmas Juška leaves the group, his place is taken by Robertas Kamarauskas, also from Klaipėda.
