This special concert will give a new twist to the songs of the legendary band Queen, accompanied by the majestic sounds of organ music.
Mantas Jankavičius' unique project "Mantas: Rhapsody Recomposed" was specially prepared for the opening of the Midsummer Vilnius festival. Mantas Jankavičius, who is full of energy and talent, has already impersonated Freddie Mercury, the lead singer of the British rock band, but the legendary band's music sounded completely different on the festival stage. On stage, Queen's songs were performed by Jankavičius and his band, accompanied by an organ, an unusual instrument in popular music. It was played by Robertas Lamsodis.
This is the only performance of this format not only in Lithuania, but also in the world. Preparing for the project was a challenge for M. Jankavičis and the professional organist R. Lamsodis, who was returning to rehearsals from Norway, but a very intriguing one. It is not usual or easy to perform popular and rock music on the organ - the performers spent long hours rehearsing, improving their performance technique, searching for the perfect sound to match the timeless music of Queen.
The musical project, which has been performed in the country's biggest arenas to great acclaim and ovations, will be performed again on 8 July. The concert will take place in Palanga Concert Hall on 7 July. This is a special opportunity to hear and see this spectacular show once again.
On the weekend of Mindaugava Day, the audience will hear the hits "We Are the Champions", "We Will Rock You", "Bohemian Rhapsody", "I Want To Break Free", "Show Must Go On" and "Love of My Life", which will make everyone's hearts sing and their voices check their capabilities. Mantas Jankavičius always gives his all when he goes on stage. His musical talents and theatricality leave no one indifferent. The musicians will once again strive to ensure that the energy and music of the performance resonates throughout the hall and reaches even the furthest audience members.
