How and why do we litter? What makes us feel uncomfortable about this topic? What causes fear, horror and guilt? And what drives action?
Combining different theater genres - clowning, physical, drama theater - the performance "Pasiiukšlinė" opens up the topic of the global climate crisis in the universal language of theater. Lithuanian climate protectionist Dr. Gintarė Klimienė's message. Climate change is seen as a social drama that humanity can solve. The audience participates in the decision-making process.
The climate crisis is also experienced from the personal perspective of "trash", not very responsible consumers, who have been trying to deny, hide, and ignore it for many years. Self-irony reveals the comical, absurd patterns of our behavior when faced with a problem that requires responsibility and involvement.
The costumes and scenery of the show are made from secondary recycled materials. Plastic fused into new forms becomes an exceptional artistic object. Glacier figures made of ice melt and disappear throughout the action.
