The stay of the French in the Baltic countries is another great achievement of the forward-looking agency 8 Days A Week. They are also organizing Phoenix's performance at Sigulda Castle in Latvia, where Michael Kiwanuka also performed a magical outdoor concert last summer. Phoenix is undoubtedly one of the toughest and most influential indie bands of this century. They changed the whole indie scene, inspired many other bands and are always on top. They are timeless and genre-defying and are finally returning to the big stages and playlists. Good friend and Daft Punk member Thomas Bangalter helped them in the studio and produced the band's latest work, the album itself was recorded at the Louvre Museum in Paris. What other band can boast that today?
About Phoenix
The creations and ideas of "Phoenix" allowed the Parisians to establish themselves powerfully in the scene of the early 2000s. The members of Phoenix - vocalist Thomas Mars, guitarists and brothers Laurent Brancowitz and Christian Mazzalai, and bassist-keyboardist Deck D'arcy - met as boys in the grand Versailles, where they shared a love of rock veterans such as the Pixies and the Sex Pistols. Everyone remembers their United debut which successfully cemented them together as a group and set Phoenix apart from the rest.

The relationship grew and grew stronger, and the band's work throughout their 20+ year career was always centered around their own friendship and good times together. The four have always seen music as an opportunity for friends and loved ones to come together. More than 20 years have passed, and their friendship, both in music and in life, is enviable. They always do everything together and that's another reason why Phoenix is such a good and genuine band. No tantrums, no nonsense or drama, just music.
From the start of their debut, it was clear that French music was suited for sweaty parties in concert halls and big festival stages, from Coachella to Glastonbury. When Phoenix played at the legendary Madison Square Garden arena, they shared the same stage and had a joint performance with the already mentioned and retired Daft Punk.
The legendary hit "1901"

Indeed, when in 2009 released the album Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix, they became one of the biggest bands of the past decades. Not without reason - "Lisztomania", "1901" or "Rome" are still in our playlists, and the album earned them a Grammy statuette as the best alternative album. This is a set that changed the lives of most of us in its time and gave voice to many stages. So many other bands have tried to replicate this album and its success, but none have succeeded so far. And 13 years have already passed.
