The "Vilnius Arsenalas" ensemble, which has been active for more than 30 years, invites you to hear 19th-21st century music. the work of composers. Having held more than 1000 concerts in various cities of Lithuania, Holland, France, Germany, Poland, Latvia, Estonia, the ensemble universally combines the golden fund of music from past eras and the latest works of contemporary composers. "Vilnius Arsenalas" has initiated and performed more than 80 premieres by Lithuanian composers.
At the "Autumn Dances" concert, next to the music of Ludwig van Beethoven, Max Bruch, Darius Milhaud, George Gershwin, Ástor Piazzolla, Jonas Tamulionis' piece "Three Spanish Dances" for flute, viola and piano, dedicated to the "Vilnius Arsenal", will be played for the first time.
"The Spanish theme occupies an important place in my work. I have composed more than ten pieces of Spanish character for various ensembles, from classical guitar to symphony orchestra. "Three Spanish Dances" is based on Spanish folklore, the music and rhythms of flamenco music are used in the piece," says composer J. Tamulionis, whose virtuosic and effective opus have already become his business card.
