The Vilnius ballet school "Nuotaika" invites you to the ballet performance for the whole family "Snow Queen" based on the same name by H. Chr. based on Andersen's fairy tale. H. Chr. Andersen is not called the king of fairy tales for nothing. "The Snow Queen" is one of his most beautiful and profound works, reminding everyone of the unbreakable power of love and kindness.
The characters of the play are two poor friends Kajus and Gerda. Despite their poverty, they know how to enjoy life, children are only frightened by tales about the cruel Snow Queen. However, she lives far away and seems a little unreal.
One day the Snow Queen appears. A shard of mirror falls into Kai's eye and the boy's emotions slowly freeze. The Snow Queen takes Kai to the North. Unable to accept the loss of her friend, Gerda does not believe that the boy left of his own free will and embarks on an adventurous journey to find him.
The fairy tale "The Snow Queen" teaches the most noble values, highlights the importance of pure love, courage and true friendship. The story reminds us that a loving heart will always defeat the spell of evil and that even in the most difficult moment of life, there is always hope.
During the performance, over 80 students of the Vilnius Ballet School "Nuotaika" will dance to the beautiful music of E. Grigo.
