Composer, group leader, percussionist Marilyn Mazur is a name that is pronounced with respect in the jazz (and not only) world. Her talent has been recognized by the world's most prominent jazz performers, her name appears on the posters of prestigious music festivals and theater halls. The artist, who is already well known to the Lithuanian public, returns to Vilnius this time to hold an exclusive solo performance, proving her virtuosity and creative courage. The presentation of this musician can be started with well-deserved recognition - for example, back in 2001 she won one of the most important prizes in the jazz world, Jazzpar, and last year she was awarded the German Jazz Prize (as the best drummer/percussionist). Marilyn has been elected a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Arts, Denmark has awarded her a special state scholarship for her merits in music, and the world's most important jazz magazine "Downbeat" has repeatedly chosen her as the best virtuoso of percussion instruments.
It is also possible to name the companions she met along the way, including the most famous names in the history of jazz. Marilyn Mazur is a former member of the bands of the legendary Miles Davis, Wayne Shorter, who traveled this year (and played at the "Vilnius Mama Jazz" festival), and Jan Garbarek. But the most important thing is the dynamic story of Marilyn's own work, which has many completely different chapters.

BEADY BELLE
Norway
Ask famous Lithuanian artists (especially pop and jazz vocalists), and you will be surprised how many of them will not hide their admiration when they hear the singer Beady Belle mentioned. Can this stunning Norwegian be called a pop star? Maybe no. Because she is much more - an artist mixing a heady cocktail of various genres and meaningful poetry, who has earned great interest and respect not only from the audience, but also from her colleagues.
The Lithuanian audience already had the opportunity to experience the beauty of Beady Belle's music live. The last time was 14 years ago, when the singer performed at the "Vilnius Mama Jazz" festival, and Beady Belle was not her stage nickname, but the name of the group she assembled. A lot has changed since then - Beady Belle has changed the trajectory of her work and career, symbolically marking the twentieth anniversary of her career with the album "Nothing But The Truth" released last year. One thing hasn't changed - a wonderful voice, passion and talent for creating songs that radiate warmth and wonderfully gentle melancholy. In the hands of this inventive creator, jazz-inspired melodies can turn into charming electronic music drawings, suddenly heat up to disco rhythms or become pop songs that no one dares call banal.
